Ten9 IT Services exists to support small businesses (SMB) with all of their technology requirements. Incorporated in 2009, the roots of Ten9 IT Services go back to 2004 when owner and founder, Ryan Herndon, started managing websites in his spare time. Over time and as the need arose, we grew from a web design firm into a full-fledged IT services company. Our main passion is writing code and complex database applications, but we love managing computers and helping users in day-to-day operations get the most out of their technology.
We’ve been providing these services since 2004 and continue to grow our services, always looking for the best options, value, and security for our clients.
Ryan Herndon
Founder, IT Consultant
Ryan began his career as a web developer in 2003 while studying Biology at the University of California, San Diego. In an effort to learn how web pages were built, he read the entire 1,000-page book “HTML: The Complete Reference.” Soon after, he applied for an internship at a local web development firm which, unbeknownst to him, was owned by the author of that book. By sheer luck, he received the internship, which led to a position as a part-time HTML coder, and eventually a full-time role.
In his next position as a web developer for a small marketing firm, Ryan filled the role of IT support for the growing company, managing a network of 10-12 users, devices, and servers. It was here that he found his passion for networking and hardware. Since that time he has continued to learn new technologies including network security, cloud infrastructure, and network management.
Ryan left the corporate world in 2007 to found Ten9 IT Services with the goal of providing high-level development services for small businesses. In the past 10+ years, Ten9 IT Services has grown from a web development firm into a full-fledged technology company offering online marketing, IT outsourcing, and cloud services to businesses across the country.
In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, playing softball, coaching soccer, and being outdoors.
